NOTE: We have Choton's permission to share his story on the Gramazin website.
Choton and Jhumu have faced death in order to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with the Dalit people in Bangladesh. Literally. Choton refused to renounce his faith to save his life in a Muslim and Hindu land. His hands and feet bound to prevent his escape, Choton was minutes from his execution before the Lord stepped in and delivered him. Choton's courage to share the gospel of Christ remains strong twenty years later. Learn about his ministry below.
I have had the pleasure to know Choton and Jhumu for several years now. I met them through a ministry affiliated with my church in Massachusetts. The three of us meet online each week to discuss their ministry and to pray for their needs. I have had the pleasure to meet his team on several occasions, sharing passages from the Bible with them.
The Holy Spirit is strong with this couple. They both have a sincere desire to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to the people of Bangladesh. They are warm and friendly, a delight to engage in conversation. I doubt I have ever encountered someone with as consistently cheerful and welcoming of a smile like Jhumu. Their faith, moving forward trusting that Christ will provide, even at the last minute, puts many believers in America to shame. They are fearless and they are filled with hope. Their peaceful demeanor has clearly influenced their two sons who are partners with them in ministry.
Their family is in continuous need of basic provisions for survival. The ministry is also hampered by a lack of funds. All that they accomplish is as full-time volunteers. It is my prayer that you will become a prayer partner for their ministry. It is also my prayer that you will consider giving them even a modest financial gift. Contact me and I will tell you how to send them money.
In Christ,

I am Choton Sarkar my background is Hindu. I came from Dalit tribe. I worshipped Hindu God until age my seventeen. Dalit tribe is a low cast tribe in Bangladesh. Dalit means untouchable. I grew up as a hater of people because we have cast system in country. People of other religious and other societies consider it a sin to associate with us. I often think that I better die because I have no hope. During this running time I met a brother who was a Christian who told me about the Lord Jesus Christ and gifted me a bible. Later I can to know this Lord and I found my worth. I received a six month bible training opportunity and during that training God gave the word to preach full time among our Dalit people. Bangladesh is home to over six million Dalit community people who are being neglected by people other communities every day.
My wife name is Jhumu Sarkar. We have three children’s older name is Shufhum Sarkar, he is 14 year’s old. Younger name is Giannes Sarkar. He is 08 year’s old. Small one daughter, her name is Allysa Sarkar. She is fifteen month’s. My wife is Muslim background. She used to worship Allah according to religion Islam. She knew Jesus Christ through me. We are also working together. She has a burden in her heart to train women in sewing because our Dalit people are very needy. She want’s women to earn and support their families.

Greetings from Choton and his ministry team.
A snippet of a weekly call between Charles Wagner and Choton and Jhumu. This was recorded on March 4, 2023.
Choton and his team are devoted to sharing the gospel with the children of Bangladesh. The song they are singing goes something like this: "Hey, yo...Those of the people of the Lord Jesus Christ go....singing. Hey, yo...Those of the people of the Lord Jesus Christ go....dancing. Hey, yo...Those of the people of the Lord Jesus Christ go....laughing."

Choton was afforded the opportunity to present the gospel to government officials in January 2023.
